Rant: That $80 limited edition bluray box set was a scam
I picked up that 'Vintage Anime Classics' box set from a booth at the last local con. Looked great on the shelf with all the shiny foil and numbered cards. But the actual discs were just burned copies with cheap labels. Two of the episodes skipped so bad I couldn't watch them. The menu screens were just static images with no chapter selection. I emailed the company listed on the back and the address bounced back. So I'm out $80 for a fancy box that's not even worth displaying. Anyone else get burned by these con booth resellers pushing overpriced collections?

Oh man, that "Vintage Anime Classics" set is exactly the one I got scammed on last summer. Paid $80 at a con too and the discs were so scratched out of the box they looked like someone played frisbee with them. The foil box is pretty but I can't even look at it without getting mad.

My cousin bought a "rare" Dragon Ball Z statue from a con booth for $150 and when he opened it the arm fell off because it was just glued on. The guy at the booth was already packing up by the time he noticed. These con resellers know exactly what they're doing.
