Skipping the opening theme fixed my backlog problem

I used to let every 24-episode show take me like 3 weeks because I watched the full intro every time, but once I started skipping to the 1:30 mark I cleared 12 series last month alone. Anyone else do this or am I just impatient with good intros?

Back when I was rewatching Cowboy Bebop for the third time I timed it out, the intro is exactly 1 minute and 22 seconds, so I did the math and realized I'd wasted like 4 hours of my life just on that one show alone... it honestly made me feel sick. Now I've got a whole playlist of just intros I skip to when I need that quick burst of music without committing to a full episode. Kinda turned my anime watching into a snack situation instead of a full meal, if that makes sense.
