Wasted $120 on a 'collector's edition' Blu-ray box set
Tbh I finally cracked open that $120 Akira 4K set I bought 6 months ago and half the discs are region locked for me, plus the bonus booklet is just recycled art from the 2019 release. Should I just stick to streaming subs from now on or is there a better way to check specs before dropping cash?

Ever notice how everything these days is sold as a "premium" version of something that already exists, just with a fresh coat of paint? It's like the whole economy figured out people will pay double for the same stuff if you slap "collector" on it. Honestly, checking blu-ray.com or the actual disc specs before buying has saved me more times than I can count, but it's still a gamble every time.
