Tried a $5 silicone bread sling and thought it was a gimmick. Now I can't bake without it.
I was at a kitchen supply store last month and saw this weird silicone mat with handles. Rolled my eyes so hard but threw it in the cart anyway. First loaf stuck to it a bit cause I didn't dust it with flour. Second try came out perfect. No more burned knuckles trying to flip a dutch oven. Anyone else find a random gadget that actually works?

Wait do you actually find it that much better than just using parchment paper? I mean I tried one of those slings once and it just felt like an extra thing to wash and store in my drawer. The silicone got all floppy and the dough kept sliding off the sides before I could even get it into the dutch oven. Maybe I just got a cheap one or something but I went right back to cutting a square of parchment and calling it a day.

My neighbor Beth bought one for her sourdough, @ramirez.daniel, and she ended up using it as a trivet instead.
