Tried butter vs shortening in my pie crust last weekend and the butter blew it out of the water

The shortening crust came out tough and bland while the butter one was flaky and rich, has anyone else had that same result with holiday pies?

Right? Butter is just the MVP of baking, shortening is basically a flavorless brick in disguise. At least now you know who to invite to your next pie party.
