Warning: Check your mixer before you start...
Had my stand mixer throw the pouring shield across the kitchen last Saturday in Denver. Scared the hell out of me and splattered buttercream all over the wall. Has anyone else had a mixer part suddenly fail like that?

Wait, was it the pouring shield that actually flew off, or was it maybe the attachment hub cover? I mean, I had a cheap locking tab break on mine once and the whole thing went sideways, but the shield itself usually just pops off if the latch isn't fully clicked in. Idk, might be worth checking if there's a screw loose or a crack near the hinge before assuming it's a random defect.

Lol I feel this. My dumb ass once spent 20 minutes cussing out my grinder before realizing I hadn't even clicked the latch all the way. Felt real smart after that one.
