Hot take: the 4-track Tascam at a Portland house show in 2019 ruined my love for polished demos
I stood there listening to a band's rough cassette tape through a blown speaker and it hit harder than any studio mix I own. Now I skip anything that sounds too clean, but am I missing good bands by doing that?
