Thought my buddy's Tascam 4-track was a toy until I heard his tape through a real amp
I used to think those old cassette 4-tracks were just for messing around, and that anyone serious needed a real reel to reel setup. Then my friend Dave played me a demo he did on a Tascam 424 in his mom's garage in 1996, and the drums sounded like they were in the room with us when I heard it through his Fender Twin. Now I'm wondering if I should sell my interface and go find one at a pawn shop. Anyone else get fooled by gear they wrote off too fast?
