After 14 chapters, that web serial finally paid off in a way I forgot could happen

I was scrolling a home improvement forum and saw a person complaining that a 400 page thread about fixing a squeaky staircase was 'a waste of time,' but that thread is the one I keep coming back to because it took 3 days to even get to the actual fix. It reminded me of the old days when we used to share these long, winding stories just for the ride, not just the answer. Anyone else find that the slow ones stick with you way longer than the quick fix posts?

Disagree. Quick fix posts save time. Drawn-out threads just waste my afternoon scrolling.
