Found a doc from 2005 detailing a 4,000 word forum post about a single Minecraft block
I was digging through old internet archives last night and stumbled on a massive slow burn story from a Minecraft forum. It went into insane detail about building a castle wall block by block over 3 months. The author posted updates every week with screenshots and drama about creepers blowing stuff up. Has anyone else found a super old forum thread that just kept you reading for hours?

Had a buddy who spent like two years following some guy's blog about building a giant pixel art mural in a game called "Wurm Online" or something. Each post was just "placed 50 more dirt blocks, internet went out, crying." He still talks about it sometimes.
