Found a stat about reddit story lengths that blew my mind

I was scrolling through some subreddit stats site and saw that the average story that gets called a 'slow burn' is actually only about 2,000 words. But I just finished a 15,000 word series on r/nosleep that took 6 parts to get to the real action, and that felt like true slow burn to me. Is there an actual word count or vibe people go by for what counts as slow burn?

Is 2,000 words really a slow burn though? I've read posts that were that short and the payoff came way too fast to feel like any kind of real buildup. Word count matters way less than the pacing and how much tension the writer actually builds before the big moment.
