I spent 6 months reading only the first 5 chapters of every long story, and the fix was something a guy in Tulsa said
Honestly I thought I just had a short attention span. Turns out I was judging slow burns by the first 5 chapters, which is exactly where nothing happens on purpose. A guy in Tulsa commented on one of my posts that he reads the first 10 chapters before deciding, and when I tried that with a 40 chapter story, chapter 9 hit me like a truck. Ngl now I want to know, how many chapters do you give something before you quit on it?
