Rant: That 8000 word forum post about a guy fixing his neighbor's lawnmower took 3 days to get good
Found this thread last week where a guy described every single step of tracking down a neighbor who left a note on his truck. Went on for like 15 pages about wrong addresses and dead ends. Around page 8 he finally finds the guy and it turns out he just wanted to borrow the mower. The payoff was the neighbor brought it back with a full tank and a six pack of cheap beer. Anyone else waste hours on stories that feel pointless until the last few paragraphs?

I've definitely been there, that lawnmower one sounds like a wild ride. Usually if I'm more than five paragraphs in and nothing's happened yet, I just skip to the last page to see if it's worth my time.
