Serious question, did that Reddit stranger's advice about sticking with a slow serial for 80 chapters actually pay off for you?
A guy in a comment thread on a serial I almost quit told me to hold on because chapter 82 reframes the whole first arc, and he was right, though the stretch from 60 to 75 was rough. I'm 140 chapters in now and wondering if others have a cutoff point where they'll bail, mine's usually around 30. Curious how long you all give a story to find its footing.
