Spent 3 days reading a forum thread from 2004 about a guy building a log cabin

Found this thread on some old homesteading forum where this dude documented every single day of building a cabin by hand. No power tools, just axes and hand saws. Took him like 6 years in real time. The thread had 87 pages and I read every one at work this week. Has anyone else found a forum post that just sucked them in for days like that?

87 pages of some guy whacking logs with an axe is not my idea of a good time. Reading about him probably complaining about splinters and slow progress for 6 years makes my eyes glaze over. I'd rather just watch a YouTube video of a cabin build and get the highlights in 20 minutes.
