Six months is wild, man. I once spent a solid four weeks chasing a drip in a bathroom sink, replaced the whole cartridge assembly and everything, still leaked. Turned out to be a tiny piece of grit stuck in the seat washer. I almost threw the whole sink out the window. Glad you finally got it sorted, that kind of thing makes you feel like a real idiot when you find it.
