That 47-part Tumblr saga from 2015 was better than any Netflix series I've watched this year

I spent last Tuesday night reading a 47 part Tumblr story about a girl trying to return a defective microwave to a big box store in Akron. Each post was maybe 300 words, but the comment section added another layer of drama with people taking sides on whether she should have just thrown it out. The pacing was brutal in the best way, like she'd spend 5 posts just describing the customer service desk layout. Compared that to the new Netflix show my coworker keeps pushing, which rushes every conflict to a resolution in 40 minutes. There's something about a story that makes you wait 3 days for the next update that just hits different. Anyone else have a forum saga or long-form post that beat out professional media for you?

The real magic was the comment section turning into its own soap opera, people tracking the microwave's journey like it was a missing person. Netflix can't recreate that because you can't argue with a screen and have it argue back.
