That moment I had to pick between my old job and a new one

Got an offer last month. 45 minute commute vs 15 minutes. Same pay, different industry. I went with the shorter drive. Best call I've made in years. Has anyone else chosen convenience over career growth?

You know, @riverf34 I used to think the longer commute was just part of paying your dues, right? I had this idea that sacrificing time now would lead to something better later. But after six months sitting in traffic for two hours every day I started getting resentful and burned out. That 45 minute drive was stealing my mornings and my evenings, leaving me too tired to even enjoy my weekends. When I finally took the shorter drive I realized how much time I was wasting just to prove something to myself.
