That old man in the library who spent 3 months on one book recommendation
At the downtown Seattle library last fall, this elderly guy spent 45 minutes telling me why I should read a 1970s novel about a lighthouse keeper. He memorized passages from it and said it took him 20 years to truly understand the ending. Has anyone ever had a stranger insist on a story that slowly grew on them over time?
