That one comment from a random reader fixed my whole outline
I was stuck on chapter 12 of a 40 part series for like 2 weeks, then someone in the comments dropped a single line about how they waited every Tuesday for the next bit. It made me realize the slow build was actually working, so I stopped second guessing and just let the next scene breathe. Anyone else get unstuck from something a stranger said?

The bit about someone waiting every Tuesday for the next part is kind of funny when you think about it, because a random stranger with a boring weekly routine basically did your editing for you. Two weeks of staring at chapter 12, and all it took was one person saying they show up on schedule like it's their Tuesday coffee break. I once got talked out of cutting a whole subplot because one reader asked why a side character stopped showing up, which was the only proof I had that anyone even noticed him. Sometimes the crowd sees the thing you have been squinting at for so long that you forgot it was there.
