I spent 6 months fighting a site that barely got indexed past page 2, tried every SEO plugin and audit tool with no luck. Then I dug into a 2008 thread on some dead webmaster forum, and this one guy's method about internal linking from your oldest posts using exact anchor text did more than all the paid stuff. Anyone else ever hit gold on an ancient thread that modern guides completely missed?
