The hotel clerk in Asheville handed me a 40 page printed blog and I read all of it
Stayed at a little inn in Asheville back in March and the guy at the front desk slid a stapled stack of paper across the counter with my key. It was 40 pages printed off some blog about a family that drove old back roads for 3 years, and he told me about 12 guests had finished it. I figured it was junk, but around page 9 something clicked and I stayed up until 1am reading about a broken water pump in a town of 200 people. The wild part is he said the writer mailed him the printed copies himself, no site, no email list, just paper. I keep thinking about how a story that slow could grab me harder than anything on my phone. Does anybody have a link to the original, or is this a paper only thing I have to drive back for?
