That minimalist blog about faucet aerators actually saved me 40 bucks a month
I stumbled on this tiny blog called something like Drip Logic or maybe it was Tap Thoughts, run by some retired engineer in Phoenix. No ads, no popups, just plain text posts about water pressure and fixture internals. I almost scrolled past it twice because the design looks like it's from 2004. But he had a post about aerator flow rates and how most home supply stores push the wrong size. I figured it was nonsense, so I ignored it for a week. Then my utility bill came in at 90 dollars, which is insane for a two person house. I tried his suggestion, swapped a 2.2 GPM aerator for a 1.5 GPM one on my kitchen and bathroom sinks. Cost me like 8 bucks at the local hardware store. My bill dropped to around 50 the next month and the water pressure still feels identical. Anyone else find a weird little blog that fixed a stupid expensive problem without selling you anything?
