Debate: Do niche blogs with zero comments have MORE value than popular ones?
I've been reading two tiny blogs about DIY engine rebuilds for months. One has maybe 5 comments total, the other gets a few dozen per post. The quiet one has this guy Larry who posted a step by step on decking a Ford 300 six cylinder block with an angle grinder. Total hack job but it actually WORKED for me. The popular blog is all polished guides but they skip the messy details. Which is better for real learning: the hidden gem nobody sees or the one with a crowd fact checking it? I'm leaning toward the dusty corner of the internet because Larry's method saved me $200 on a machine shop bill. What do you all think?

Hold up, "decking a Ford 300 six cylinder block with an angle grinder"? That's insane, I can't believe that even worked. But honestly, that's exactly why the quiet blog has more value, because Larry is out there showing you the desperate, real-world hacks that a machine shop would never admit to. The popular blog is just selling you a polished lie, while Larry is selling you a $200 solution.

Question the method all you want, but at least Larry's block is actually flat now instead of just looking pretty on Instagram.
