Found a blog from 2008 about fixing old printers that saved me $200
Last week my HP LaserJet started jamming every 10 pages and I was about to toss it. I stumbled on a blog called 'Printer Archaeology' that had zero comments and looked like it was coded in Notepad. The guy wrote about a specific feed roller issue and how to clean it with rubbing alcohol and a toothbrush. I tried it on my lunch break and it worked perfectly. Has anyone else found a dead blog that solved a real problem like this?

honestly it's wild how much valuable stuff is buried in the internet graveyard lol. those old blogs from like 2005-2010 are pure gold because people actually documented random repairs without trying to sell you anything. i think the bigger pattern here is how the internet used to be more about sharing knowledge and less about clicks or ads. these days if you search for a printer fix you get like 10 copy-pasted articles all saying "buy a new one" or shoving affiliate links at you. the original content creators were just normal folks who figured something out and wanted to help someone else avoid spending money. it's like finding a time capsule of actual human decency before everything got oversaturated with junk. probably 90% of those old blogs are still up and nobody even knows they exist lol but they're saving people hundreds of bucks every day.
