Found a blog tracking every payphone left in Ohio, its oddly calming
Was driving through Youngstown last month and spotted one of those old payphone booths still standing outside a gas station. Looked it up later and stumbled on this tiny blog run by some guy who's been photographing every remaining payphone in the state since 2016. He's got like 47 of them documented with street views and notes on which ones actually work. I spent two hours scrolling through it. There's something about seeing something most people forgot even existed that makes you slow down. He updates it maybe once a month and I think he gets like 50 visitors total. Anyone else ever find a niche blog about something you didn't know you cared about until you saw it?

That "oddly calming" part is spot on, I read once how stuff like this gives people a weird sense of control in a world moving too fast. It is like a tiny time capsule some stranger is keeping alive for everyone.
