Had to pick between Substack and Blogger for my niche history blog
I spent a whole weekend back in March weighing Substack's newsletter setup against Blogger's old-school simplicity for a blog about 1920s radio repair. Went with Blogger because my audience is mostly older folks who still use RSS readers, and it's been okay traffic-wise but I miss the email list features Substack has. Anyone else made a platform switch and regretted it or am I overthinking this?

But were you actually getting subscribers with Substack or just hoping it would happen faster? I'm curious if the email list thing is really worth switching back for or if it's just FOMO from seeing other people's numbers.

Didn't sub stack actually start out as a blogging platform before adding newsletters?
