Okay, I know everyone says to just use WordPress, but I spent 3 days trying to get a static site generator to work for my blog.

My last attempt at using a static generator took a whole weekend and I ended up with one broken page and a deep hatred for YAML files. I finally gave up and installed WordPress in like ten minutes. Sometimes the easy way is the right way, even if it feels like admitting defeat.

Honestly this is so true for so much tech now. We get sold on the "right" way being the most complex and pure way. But if the simple tool gets your words online and you can actually update it, you won. The fancy way that never works is a bigger failure.
