Picked up a $3 thrift store typewriter over a $60 Bluetooth keyboard for my blog posts
I was debating between a modern ergonomic keyboard and a beat-up Olivetti from the local Goodwill in Austin to write my tiny poetry blog. After three weeks typing on that clunky machine, my posts got more raw and less edited, and visitors jumped from 20 to 80 a month. Has anyone else tried switching to an old tool just to change up their writing vibe?

Used to think this was just hipster nonsense. Old typewriters are slow and messy, right? Then my buddy let me borrow his Brother electric for a weekend. Something clicked. The physical clacking and the fact I couldn't backspace easily made me slow down. My writing got tighter, less fluff. Now I get why people do it.

Started typing on a cheap Royal manual from a thrift store and it completely changed how I edit.
