Serious question, a reader emailed me about my blog's layout and now I can't decide if they were right
Six months ago a guy named Dave from Ohio emailed me to say my blog about old library card catalogs was great but the white text on a dark background made him squint, so I flipped it to black on white and my page views barely budged. Part of me thinks he was right and the posts are easier to read now, but another part misses the dark theme because it matched the mood of the whole thing. Do you change stuff for one random reader who takes the time to write in, or do you stick with what you like and figure the right people will find it anyway?
