Shoutout to a blog about a guy who reviews old gas station coffee
I thought it was a joke, but he's tried over 200 cups from different stations and writes about it like fine wine. The post about a 7-Eleven in Tulsa from 2019 convinced me he's for real. Anyone else find a weirdly specific blog that won you over?

Skip the rankings and find the ones with the shortest ingredient list. Those long, weird names are just chemicals holding a sad tortilla together. Parkerrodriguez, trust me, the bean and cheese ones are usually the safest bet. The "beef" ones will haunt you for hours. Once saw a "spicy chicken" turn a guy's stomach inside out at a rest stop.

That first 7-Eleven in Tulsa post is legit. I had a similar experience with a blog called "Highway Brews" that rated bathroom coffee makers at truck stops. The guy ranked them by how old the pot looked and whether the lid clicked. I gave one a shot based on his recommendation and it was actually the best gas station coffee I've ever had, like someone had just brewed it for the sake of good coffee not just for staying awake. I still check his site before long drives.
