Showerthought: I picked between a blogspot page from 2008 and a Dreamwidth journal for a dead niche and I still can't decide if I chose right

I found two blogs about restoring old sewing machines, one on Blogspot last updated in 2011 with 14 posts and one on Dreamwidth from 2009 with 40 posts, and I had to pick just one to link in a forum thread. I went with the Blogspot one because the photos loaded faster and the author actually answered a comment in 2010, but the Dreamwidth one had a full parts list for a Singer 201. Which one would you have linked, and does anyone else judge a dead blog by whether the writer ever replied to anybody?
