That $18 fog machine from a yard sale paid for itself in one Halloween

I grabbed it on a whim last October from some guy in Akron who was clearing out his garage. The thing looked like it had seen better days, but it cranked out fog like a champ for my front porch setup. Neighbors actually stopped to take pictures, and a kid told his mom our house was the coolest on the block. Cost me eighteen bucks, and I used it again for a friend's backyard party in June. Now I'm wondering if I should hunt down a second one for double coverage this year. Anyone else get lucky with cheap secondhand gear that just keeps working? What's the best thing you've snagged for under twenty bucks?
