That one blog with the broken website design actually gave me solid advice

Found this tiny blog called 'Rural Kitchen Hacks' last month, only has like 200 visitors a month according to the counter. The lady who runs it said to always salt your pasta water until it tastes like the ocean, and I thought she was crazy. Tried it with my homemade sauce last Thursday and man, the flavor difference was huge. Has anyone else followed random advice from a dead blog and had it work out?

oh man, i found this old sewing blog from like 2006 that barely loads anymore. the lady said to always wash your fabric before cutting it, even if you're in a hurry. i skipped that once and made a whole tote bag that shrunk weirdly after the first wash. i still follow that rule every time now, even for small projects. also she swore by using a chopstick to push out corners on pillowcases and stuff, which sounds dumb but actually gives you super crisp edges. works way better than the fancy point turner i bought from a craft store.

Wait actually that chopstick trick is legit documented in old sewing manuals... you're not supposed to push through the fabric with it though, you're supposed to roll it gently from the inside out to avoid tearing the seam. Learned that the hard way after poking a hole in a pillowcase I spent hours on.
