Update: the guy at the tire shop changed my mind about old forum threads
I used to think old forum posts were junk and would skip anything more than a couple months old. Last week I was waiting on a rotate at the shop on Route 9 and the guy next to me mentioned he still reads a woodworking forum from 2003, and he pulled up a thread about sharpening that was exactly what I needed. He said the old guys wrote it all down back then and nobody bothered to move it anywhere new. Now I'm digging through 15 year old message boards instead of scrolling new stuff, and the info holds up better. Does anyone here have a favorite dead forum they still check?
