Appreciation post: picking the hardback over paperback for my club's pick this month
I went with the hardback even though it cost $12 more because the paperback had tiny font that hurts my eyes... turns out the thicker paper stopped my highlighter from bleeding through to the other side during our discussion. Has anyone else found a physical book detail that made or broke their reading experience?

Man, that highlight bleed is a real pain. I had a paperback once where every single page had that problem, made my notes look like a mess. It's funny how the little things like font size or paper thickness can totally wreck a good reading session. Totally get why you went with the hardback, sometimes you just gotta pay up for basic comfort. Nothing worse than squinting through a good book.

Wow @robert275 I never thought about how the glue they use could also make the paper thinner and more see-through over time.
