Appreciation post: that one week my book club actually agreed on something

Normally my Tuesday night group fights for like 45 minutes over what to read next. But last month we had this one magical week where everyone actually liked The Goldfinch. No one called it too long. Nobody said the characters were annoying. It was so weird. I kept waiting for someone to start an argument but it never happened. Has anyone else ever had a book club pick where literally zero drama happened?

I mean is it really that big of a deal though? People act like getting a good deal is some kind of life changing event. I've seen plenty of similar posts where it turned out the thing was used or had hidden problems. Not saying this one is bad, but let's pump the brakes a little on calling it a miracle.
