What even was that last chapter? Felt like the book just... stopped. All that build up for the trees to win in such a quiet way.

Wait, you guys are still talking about that ending? Three months later... that's wild. The quiet ending was the whole point though. Trees don't win with a big fight, they just... keep going. It's supposed to feel like that.
