Our book club got 11 of 14 people to actually finish a 600 page novel, and I think that is a bad thing
Everyone acts like high turnout is the goal, but when we read Anna Karenina last month almost nobody had a real opinion. The three of us who slogged through had to carry a 90 minute talk about train stations, and the rest just nodded along. I would rather have 5 people who truly dug in than 14 who skimmed the last chapter on the drive over. How does your group handle the folks who show up without finishing the book?
