Our book club's whole vibe got wrecked by one person's spoiler

We were supposed to discuss the first half of 'The Silent Patient' last night, but Mark just blurted out the twist ending five minutes in. I spent the next hour just staring at my book, totally deflated. How do you even run a meeting after that?

Our club had a spoiler incident last year with Gone Girl. We ended up having a great talk about why the author structured the book that way.
