Our club president swore audiobooks count toward the reading list, and three months later half our members quit over it
Back in January our club president Dana told everyone audiobooks were totally fine for our monthly picks, said it at the meeting in front of all 14 of us. So I switched to listening on my drive to work in Toledo, about 40 minutes each way, and finished 5 books that way by April. Problem was nobody could agree what counted, some folks said only the full book version, others said a 20 minute summary podcast was the same thing. We lost 7 members by the summer meeting and Dana still won't admit the whole mess started with her offhand comment. How do you all handle this, do you set a page count or something before the year starts?
