Paid $45 for a used copy of Cloud Atlas for book club and it was missing page 312, now I'm the one who has to explain the whole chapter
Our club picked it for February and I grabbed the cheapest copy on eBay because the library hold list was 11 people deep. Page 312 is just gone, and that's the one where the whole Sonmi section clicks together, so I sat there nodding while everyone else debated it. Should I just buy the $18 paperback before our next meeting, or fess up and ask someone to read that page out loud?

Yikes, been there with a thrift store copy that was basically a different book. Just buy the $18 paperback and read that one page before the next meeting, way easier than making it a whole thing at club.
