TIL that reviewer who hated my grooming shop was actually onto something

Last spring a lady left a 1 star review saying my dryers were too loud and scared her poodle. I brushed it off cause everyone else loved the shop, but then two other people mentioned the same thing over the next month. I finally checked the decibel meter on my old K9-II dryer and it was hitting 95 dB near the table. Bought a quieter model for $320 and now the nervous dogs actually relax, which makes the whole clip faster. Has anyone else had a review that stung at first but fixed a real problem you missed?

I used to skip Joe's Diner on Main Street because of a 2-star review from three years ago about slow service. Then my coworker dragged me there last Tuesday and we got our food in like 10 minutes. I went back and read the owner's reply to that old review, they hired a new manager in 2022 and fixed the whole kitchen flow. Warning: That 5-star review for the HVAC place near me was totally fake
