Dropped $285 on a "done for you" review management service and got 12 fake Yelp reviews that all got flagged
So I run a small landscaping thing out in Chandler and I was getting killed by a couple of bad reviews from a job that went sideways. A guy calls me up in March, real smooth talker, says he can fix my online rep for $285 a month. Promised 15 fresh reviews in 30 days. What actually happened is he used some overseas farm to post 12 reviews over two weeks. Every single one had the same broken grammar and mentioned "professional hedge trimming service" which I do not even offer. Yelp flagged 11 of them within 48 hours and put a warning banner on my page that stayed for 3 weeks. I called the guy six times, emailed four, and he ghosted me after the first complaint. Ended up getting a real look at my listing from an actual review platform person who told me those banners take weeks to clear and they can make it worse if you complain too loud. Has anyone here dealt with a review service that actually did what they promised? I am not trying the cheap route again.
