Took me 6 months to get a fake negative review removed from Google
Some competitor posted a totally fake 1-star review saying my shop ripped them off, but they'd never even been here. Google's appeal process took forever and I had to upload receipts and camera footage before they finally took it down after 6 months. Has anyone else had luck getting Google to actually remove fake reviews faster?

6 months to fight a ghost customer sounds about right for Google. I think their appeal process is designed by the same people who make you prove you're not a robot on a captcha.

6 months is insane. i had one fake review pop up and i nearly lost my mind waiting 3 weeks for google to do anything, i cant imagine half a year. the fact you had to dig up camera footage and receipts just to prove someone never even walked through your door is absolutely ridiculous.
