Unpopular opinion: Yelp reviews matter more than Google reviews for local businesses

I picked a plumber based on Google's 4.9 stars and got charged $450 for a simple toilet handle replacement. When I checked Yelp afterward, two reviews mentioned the same overcharging. Has anyone else found Yelp's crowd more honest about pricing?

Slammed Google reviews after the same thing happened with an HVAC company near me. They had 4.8 stars but four people on Yelp said they'd try to upsell you on a whole new unit when you just needed a simple fix. Paid $300 for a diagnostic fee that should've been free. Honestly, I think Yelp's audience is way more willing to call out shady pricing cause they're not scared of getting their review buried.
