Vent: fought one fake Google review for 7 weeks and only got it pulled after I mailed a paper letter
A customer who never set foot in my shop left a 1 star review in February claiming we broke his truck, and Google's appeal form rejected me 5 times with the same copy paste email. I finally printed the whole thing, added screenshots of his own Facebook post saying he'd never been to my town, and mailed it to their California office. Took 7 weeks total for one review to come down. Now I'm wondering if the paper letter was the thing that worked or if it was just dumb luck on the 6th try. Anyone else had better luck with a specific appeal path, or is mailing stuff the only move that gets a real person to look?
