Netflix app on my smart TV showed me "Foreign Films with Strong Female Leads" after one weird night
So last Thursday I fell asleep watching a Danish crime show and woke up to my TV recommending me a whole row of movies described as "moody Scandinavian dramas about sad lighthouse keepers." I never searched for any of that. Now my home screen has three different categories about fog and one just called "People Staring at the Sea." I clicked one out of pure confusion and it was a 4 hour black and white film about a ferry schedule. Has anyone else had a streaming app build a whole new personality for them overnight?
