Shoutout to the YouTube algorithm that recommended me a 3 hour video of a guy slowly cleaning a gas station microwave

Honestly, I was just trying to find a recipe for instant ramen hacks last Tuesday and somehow ended up watching this dude scrub a gas station microwave for 3 hours straight. The lighting was bad, the audio was just this hum from the store, and he kept stopping to talk about his ex wife randomly. I got so sucked in I actually finished the whole thing at 2 AM and missed my alarm for work the next morning. The algorithm must have thought I was into industrial cleaning or something, because now my recommended feed is all parking lot pressure washing and dumpster diving compilations. Has anyone else had the algorithm just completely misfire on what you actually want to watch?

Three hours of a gas station microwave seems like a lot, but you gotta admit the algorithm is just trying to give you what you clicked on. You watched the whole thing, so maybe it wasn't that big a misfire.
