Had to pick between a Weber carb rebuild kit or a whole new carb for my '72 Chevelle
I went with the rebuild kit for $35 and it took me 4 hours but the old girl fired right up on the first turn after I finished, has anyone else had luck with the cheap kits or is it worth just swapping the whole unit?

$35 for a rebuild kit? Man I paid $60 for one last year and it came with the wrong gaskets.

Blew up my china carb on a 318 Dodge truck doing a burnout. The thing just straight up shattered the throttle shaft. Swapped in a junkyard quadrajet and it ran fine for years. Sometimes the cheap kits just work, sometimes you get a dud. I bet that weber kit will be fine if you took your time and cleaned everything good.
